No Child Left Hungry

Due to differing circumstances, many children in the Madison County School system have very little to eat between the time they leave school on Friday afternoons until they return on Monday mornings.  With your help, WINGSPAN, Inc., wants to see….

 “NO CHILD LEFT  Behind  HUNGRY”

  Participating schools will receive a free backpack for each child participating in the program thanks to the contributions of Eastside Baptist Church.  Each week or two, the child will return the backpack to the school only to be refilled with food for the following weekend.  These children are always asking  ” Is this is the Friday that we get to take home a backpack?”  What an awesome privilege that we have to make sure the children of Madison County are well nourished!  And without the distraction of being hungry, “our children” will have an easier time retaining knowledge.  And since these children are the future leaders of our city, county, state or even nation – Education is important!

Helping others – that is what WINGSPAN is all about!
